Tokyo Disney Sea

From traditional Hakone, we head back up north towards eastern Tokyo and the distinctly modern attraction of Tokyo Disney Sea, a recent addition to the Disney theme park empire. Liya and Anya are both champs and put up with a lot of trains and transfers.

Every hotel should have a nice view of a giant fake volcano. This one obligingly erupts on schedule every evening.

The April weather's perfect, there are no crowds, and we're all finally on Tokyo time. Jan promptly falls ill with a 101°F fever.
