B2 Chicken

Performance:

The B2 Stealth Chicken was first flown at the 2000 University of Colorado Engineering School egg drop. Swirling, vortex-like winds played havoc with my overgrown maple seed: It got slammed into a wall halfway down and fell straight down from there on. It wasn't pretty.

Luckily, a few weeks later Boulder's National Center for Atmospheric Research was holding its own egg drop. Feeling the B2 Chicken hadn't been given a fair chance the first time around, I entered it in this new competition. Ceremoniously tossed out of NCAR's formidable balcony, it autorotated flawlessly, gently conveying its delicate cargo to earth, and winning the coveted "Most Eggcelent" award in the process.

A worthy adversary: NCAR.

Liftoff!

The judges pounce.

The tension builds.

Victory is mine! Mu ha ha ha...
