Japan Stories: June 2000

Mongolia

In June we leave Japan on our final visa-renewing trip. We fly first to Ann Arbor, Michigan for the wedding of Jan's mother Lyn to Paul Norton. We spend a fun week helping with preparations for the wedding, and enjoy the ceremony and reception.

We then fly from Michigan to the other side of the world: Ulaan Baatar, the capital of Mongolia. (Click here for a map of Mongolia.) We spend a fascinating ten days in Mongolia as part of a tour organized by Angela's alumni association at Stanford.
