Christmas Day

Doing Christmas right as a family in a city that none of you live means bringing a ton of stuff with you. Not only did we all have a pile of presents to bring, we also want to cook a big Christmas dinner, which means we had to bring a crate of kitchen gear. We have even brought the small artificial "backup" Christmas tree we use on years when we're not spending Christmas at home. Chris declares that bringing your own tree with you is "hard core".

After opening presents for a while, Anya's stamina gives out, so we take a break and go to lunch at one of the few restaurants open: a Middle Eastern restaurant.

Jared is apparently just made of money

Anya's favorite moment so far this Christmas is the spinning chairs at the counter

Our Christmas dinner in the hotel comes off great, which makes it worth having lugged a roasting pan and turkey baster across the border.
