May 2004

At the end of April, we take our first trip as a family of four to visit Angela's parents at their home in McLean, VA, just outside of Washington, DC. Anya and Liya do surprisingly well on the cross-country flight! Our visit coincides with a visit from Angela's brother Johnny, his wife Jenny, and their new baby boy, Anthony, so we end up with a nice Chen family reunion.

The family visit gives Anya and Liya plenty of time to play with their grandmother ("A-ma") and grandfather ("A-gon"). Jan and Angela end up with time to relax.
